Eating a fresh juicy red deleicous tomato is a real treat in the summer. Growing tomatoes is a weekend passion which some have chosen to make a career. Even though there are countless ways to grow tomatoes like upside down or in a bucket. New attempts are being made to grow them in harmony with nature which is a huge step towards sustainability and preserving the enviorment.

Organically growing tomatoes is a environmentally friendly process. Pesticides and Fertilizers used for protecting plants and increases yields at harvest time can alter the soil which is not good for the enviorment. There is a chance they could come in contact with our food chain which could have long term health effects. These organic fertilizers are made up of plant waste, cow manure, chicken manure etc. and are feed time to time for the healthy growth of a tomato plant. Also it is a good idea to plant tomatoes in a sunny place since they like alot of sunlight. Planting the young tomato plant deep inside the earth also helps in proper absorption of the nutrients from the soil.

This will not ony save the enviorment from the effects of use of harmful chemicals but will yeild higher quality tomatoes.
