Are You Using Free Hosting Services?

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Free web hosting is in many cases the most basic web hosting service that you can sign up with, and there are many free hosting providers available on the internet. The companies providing the free hosting accounts usually finance this by ads on the web sites that are hosted.

Another feature about free web hosting services – they are usually extremely limited. If you get a free hosting service, you are forced to have ads on the top and perhaps even on the bottom of your website, and depending on what your website is all about, it may not fit at all. However, if you are amongst those just starting out on the internet, a free hosting account may very well be the best option, since you probably don’t have a lot of traffic, or just a small site.

The type of domain that you receive when you sign up for a free web hosting account is usually a subdomain with the name that you pick (yourname.somefreewebhost.com) or a name in a directory (somefreewebhost.com/yourname). For example, if the name of your free host is the000webhost.com, then your web domain would be yourbusiness.the000webhost.com.

If you are a newbie, this is the type of account that you would probably want to get, but you should be aware of some of the shortcomings this sort of free web hosting account has, especially if you are looking for more advanced options:

Firstly, many free hosting accounts do not support databases. Databases are usually used for online data retrieval routines, or to manage dynamic content on your site, such as a wordpress blog. Many of these free web hosting sites do not even support the most widely used package called mySQL!

Secondly, the free webhosts may not support multiple email accounts; in fact they only give you one email account, which is usually a web based internet account (aka webmail).

However, recently some new companies has emerged, that will in fact give you a free hosting account without the recenly mentioned shortcomings; you get PHP, mySQL, email accounts and lots more! One of them is a free webhosting service found at the000webhost.com. They even allow you to host your own domain (a perfect reason to finally purchase a domain of your own), and you are not forced to display ads or anything like that. How’s that for an improvement!

The downside? – They will disable your account after 15 days without traffic, which could be a problem if you are just starting out. Some would call it a blessing, since it will force you to come up with new and fresh ways to generate web traffic to your site.

Your Guests Will Have Bad Dreams If You Deliver This Groom Speech

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

From the quantity of the real life wedding that I have attended, I can conclude that the bridegroom is the least motivated grooms speech presenter on the day of the marriage ceremony.  Why? There are those that got caught up with the single festivity.  Some have been so engrossed with this preparation of the wedding, except for the grooms speeches.  That being the circumstances, many have arrive to the wedding ceremony with no idea whatsoever to declare.  Some assume that this groom speech is a small matter and that they can merely give an impromtu speech. This is a dreadful error and I employ you to rethink if you are heading that route.

Well, if you are planning to deliver the most horrible grooms speeches, these are several thoughts that you must go along with:

- Forget to mention your parents or the bride’s.  Forget also to show appreciation to them for their support and contribution  to the wedding.

- Keep a record of the names of family and friends that were absent for the wedding.  Give your view as to why they did not come.

- Give some examples of your own accomplishments. Brag about it.

- Make a point to mention the names of some of your ex-girlfriends.

- Do the equivalent for your bride by making known some of her ex-boyfriends

- Close the eyes to your wife to be. Tell only of your own experiences. Make no remark of her inner and outer splendor and your successful future together.

- Blather on until somebody decides to depart.  Just keep on talking without any end in sight.

- Drink loads of alcohol before the marriage ceremony.  Slur your words.

- Fail to remember the names of your parents in law, your best man, your bridesmaid and even your bride.

- Do not practise your groom speech.

You must be thinking that this writer has gone crazy.  To be frank, of course these ideas are just not right. But the miserable thing is that I have been to weddings where what I illustrate above really occurred.  This occurs when the groom comes unprepared.

I am happy that I hear you pronounce that it will not happen to you.  This piece of writing is written precisely for that reason and that is to ensure that you do not become an embarassment to yourself and also to those that have organized so sumptuously the wedding ceremony.

Just do the opposite of what is mentioned above and you will be on the correct path to developed a most memorable groom speech.

In closing, bear in mind that preparing your own grooms speech can be somthing that is very rewarding if you do it well.  It is important because it enables you a five minute moment to express yourself in any way you desire.  So, take advantage of that.

It is truly my wish that your wedding is truly wonderful.
